"Not My Story to Tell": A Pads4Progress Documentary for Teenseed Africa

Teenseed Africa needed a documentary that could carry the real weight of the Pads4Progress program to funders, partners and the public, moving past a simple donation-drive narrative to show why menstrual health support is what actually keeps girls in school, along with a way to guide audiences through a meaningful conversation after each screening.

  • Full-length documentary film shot on location across communities in the Nairobi and Lake Victoria region (Busia & Homabay Counties)
  • On-camera interviews and observational footage, including survivor testimony, filmed and lit for both community settings and controlled interview setups
  • Drone footage of different areas
  • Production sound recording and post-production sound design/mix
  • Full edit, colour grading and finishing for a screening-ready final cut
  • Shorter cutdowns for social and campaign distribution
  • A companion audience engagement guide for post-screening discussions
